The Holy One, Blessed Be He, "founded the earth with wisdom, and established the heavens with understanding" (Proverbs 3:19).
Our Sages, of blessed memory, equated wisdom with Torah (Genesis Rabbah 1:1; Proverbs 8:22). And at the appropriate time, "the Word became flesh and dwelled among us" - Messiah Yeshua (John 1:14).
We at the Messianic Midrasha believe that the New Covenant stands and given to Israel and to the whole world by Moshe at Sinai (Romans 3:31).
Upon this principle, the Messianic Midrasha was born to serve those who believe in the G-od of Israel and His Messiah, and has provided instruction to over 100 students in over 30 classes since 1993, Studies in the Tenakh and the Brit Chadashah (New Covenant) have been made available to the Messianic Community within the framework of the people of Israel, its history and the Land of Israel, in the Hebrew language. We believe that such education will assist Messianic Congregations to flourish in Jerusalem and the Land of Israel, presenting the good news of Yeshua with a Jewish emphasis and context.
The uniqueness of the Messianic Midrasha is that it is the result of initiatives by local Messianic Jews. The Messianic Midrasha is not connected to any mission organization or denomination; it is non-sectarian. The Midrasha gives the Messianic Community means with which to upgrade their level of insight and restore first century Jewish thinking and understanding of the New Covenant.
The Messianic Midrasha aims to strengthen and emphasize the above by providing courses that are given in Hebrew by teachers from local congregations in Israel, as well as by teachers from educational institutions here and abroad.
Our register of courses includes classes on Bible survey, biblical literature, languages, hermeneutics theology and apologetics.Joseph Shulam Likewise, there are courses in archeology, the history of Israel, Rabbinic literature and general Jewish literature. We have classes on Christian theology and practical theology in the lives of Messianic Jews. The Midrasha offers this broad program of study in order that "every 'scribe' trained in the Kingdom of Heaven... may bring both old and new out treasury" (Matthew 13:52).
While most of our classes are held in Jerusalem, our desire in the Messianic Midrasha is also to serve congregations abroad. We expect that our academic programs will interest anyone who wants to study the Scriptures in their Hebraic context, within the heart of Jerusalem.

"For [the Torah] is your wisdom and understanding in the sight of the peoples" (Deuteronomy 4:4-8), and "the Law will go out from Tzion, the word of the L-ORD from Jerusalem" (Isaiah 2:2-3).
